SIBT, SSHT and Parking China to be rescheduled

6 Aug 2021

Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology (SIBT), Shanghai Smart Home Technology (SSHT) and Parking China (PKC) along with the dedicated zone Shanghai Smart Office Technology (SSOT) have been postponed. Originally scheduled to take place from 31 August – 2 September 2021, a new date for the Shanghai fairs will be announced shortly. The decision was made due to the recent development of Covid-19 cases in a number of Chinese provinces.

Ms Lucia Wong, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd commented: “With the government announcing new guidelines for pandemic containment following these latest cases, we have made the decision to postpone the fairs to give certainty to the planning of our exhibitors and visitors. Our two related Guangzhou fairs, Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology and Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, have just concluded successfully this week having been postponed earlier in the year, so we will now dedicate our efforts to finding a new suitable date for the Shanghai editions later in 2021. In the meantime, I would like to thank all our stakeholders for their understanding and continued support of the fairs.”

SIBT is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, Shanghai Hongshan Exhibition Service Co Ltd, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai Pudong Sub-Branch and The Intelligent Engineering Branch of China Exploration & Design Association. The organisers of SSHT are Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, Shanghai Hongshan Exhibition Service Co Ltd, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai Pudong Sub-Branch and China Smart Home Industry Alliance. PKC and SSOT are organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Shanghai Hongshan Exhibition Service Co Ltd.

SIBT, SSHT and PKC are headed by the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany. The next edition will take place from 13 – 18 March 2022.
